Me at the top of Rendezvous Peak - 7.5 miles and 4,100 vertical feet. This hike took me 2 hours and 25 minutes. It was incredible and so beautiful!View from the top! His Mom, Marsha passed away June 5th. I was fortunate enough to have met her once while she was visiting Jay in Jackson. She is one of the sweetest, friendliest, loving, kind, smart women I have ever met. I was thrilled to have them here again and we had a truly amazing time. We enjoyed a little skiing, snowmobiling, eating, eating, some more eating, and a little spa action too :) Rachaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14987791755496882906noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850252651585271.post-78517799098946550942009-03-10T21:56:00.000-07:002009-03-11T09:26:47.002-07:00Our Beloved DotLast Thursday evening my family's dog, Dot, passed away. We have seen record snow fall in a very short amount of time. Over 5 feet in less than a week. All of this snow fell on a very weak base layer which is recipe for disaster. Since Saturday the 27th, we have had 2 in-bounds slides (this means 2 avalanches within our resort boundaries). This is extremely rare Rachaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14987791755496882906noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27850252651585271.post-53681628037760100412008-12-25T09:27:00.000-08:002008-12-25T13:48:01.034-08:00Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!Merry Christmas! After an amazing summer, I am ready for tons and tons of skiing and apres' ski! Unfortunately, last winter I didn't get to experience the legendary Tram. In 2006 they decided after 40 years of service to deconstruct the Tram and replace it with a new and improved Tram.
